Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake 7th Generation Review

<![CDATA[

Intel is one of the only two companies to sell processors, and they have a variety of choices to choose from. I am going be reviewing the Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake 7th generation central processing unit. The CPU costs $289.99 on Newegg. Overall, the processor is very effective and has a low margin for error.

Intel was founded in July 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. The Intel headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California. Although Intel is most commonly known for processors, some of their other products include motherboard chip sets, flash memory, graphic chips, embedded processors, and network interface controllers (Wikipedia).
I think that Intel’s Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake is a highly impressive processor. The most advanced silicon makes the processor one of the best high-end choices. The CPU typically has higher overclocking abilities making it a great choice for gaming and the better performance.
Specifications:

  • CPU Clock Speed- 4.2 GHz
  • Socket Type- LGA 1151
  • Number of cores- quad-core
  • Cache- L1: 4 x 32 data, 4 x 32 instruction
    • L2: 4 x 256 KB
    • L3: 8 MB

On Passmark, the Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake has an overall rank of 12,101. It is the highest speed of similar CPU’s. According to Passmark the processor is third highest in value and highest in the Intel selection. The CPU has a low margin for error.
Overall, I would recommend the the Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake processor to anyone looking for a fast, new CPU. It is very sufficient for gaming and any other activities you may want to preform on your computer. Although the processor is quite pricey, you do get a lot for your money.

AMD sTR4 Threadripper Series CPU – Review

<![CDATA[Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a semiconductor business that is famous for microprocessors. They were founded May 1, 1969 by many men. They have operations in 31 countries with over 50 locations (AMD). They also produce motherboard chip sets, graphic processors and more. The main headquarters is located in Sunnyvale, California but will be moving to Santa Clara through the year of 2018 (Weinstein).

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Series CPU is more of a gaming processing unit and it more expensive than most. It is on newegg for $549.99. As I was searching through newegg looking for the cheapest CPU for the ROG ZENITH EXTREME motherboard. The CPU for this motherboard is the only option. It is such a great CPU. Once I read more about it I thought to myself “I need this CPU for my motherboard.” The only downside to this CPU is the size of it. It is very large to meet all the computing needs. As you can see in the following photo it is much larger than the average CPU type.

I have been in the process of building my own motherboard for a month or so. It has taken some time to settle on the ASUS ROG ZENITH EXTREME. I got everything ordered about a week and a half ago and it finally got here two days ago!
Here are some specifications for the best CPU for this recommended motherboard.
Specifications:

  • Clock Speed – 3.8GHz
    • Turbo – 4.0 GHz
  • Socket – sTR4
  • Cache
    • L1 Cache – 768 KB
    • L2 Cache – 4 MB
    • L3 Cache – 16 MB
  • 8 Core
    • 16 Threads
  • Passmark – Ranking is 16,416

This CPU is clearly for gaming purposes, once I got it all hooked up and got everything running it booted it up. The graphics were so much better than my last PC/motherboard was. I noticed no lagging, and how much faster everything ran. I did not experience any problems. Overall I highly recommend this CPU! Remember I used it on the ROG ZENITH EXTREME motherboard. I had no problems at all, it ran fast, and the graphics were great and did not lag.

Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake processor Review

<![CDATA[Intel, one of the only two CPU producers, has a wide variety of products to choose from. Today, I will be reviewing the Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake processor (from Intel). This CPU costs $339.99 on Newegg. This CPU is a relatively unimpressive and underwhelming product.
Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It is the world’s second largest and second highest valued semiconductor chip makers based on revenue after being overtaken by Samsung, and is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most PCs (Intel Wikipedia).
Intel’s 7700K processor is a largely unimpressive one. Although this top-end processor is the most advanced CPU silicon around, it is far from a must-have. So the question of, “Is it worth the price?” becomes a very difficult one to answer. Unless your current CPU is extremely old and you’re dying to get a new one, there is no need to be jealous over the newer generation CPU. In simple terms: keep your current CPU, because this one is nothing to write home about. The Core i7 7700K is not a worthy upgrade (PC Games News).

The Core i7 7700K has been condemned from many users as a product that is produced when companies simply stop trying. The clock speeds are slightly higher, but Intel neglects to improve factors like architecture, process, and instructions per clock. This CPU overall does not perform better than any of its predecessors (arsTechnica).
Specifications

  • CPU clock speed: 4.2 GHz
  • Number of cores: quad-core
  • Socket type: LGA 1151
  • Cache (L1, L2, L3):
    • L1– 4 x 32KB instruction
      4 x 32KB data
      L2– 4 x 256KB
      L3– 8MB
  • Passmark CPU mark: 12101

Overall, I would not recommend this CPU to anyone looking for a shiny new component to put in their PC. It is technically sufficient for gaming and any other activities you may want to perform on your computer, but chances are the the CPU you currently have is too. And the Core i7-7700K is just not worth the upgrade. If you are just itching for a new CPU, avoid this new generation Kaby Lake family of processors. Or, just avoid Intel in general and try a CPU from the competition, AMD.

AMD RYZEN 7 1800X CPU Review

<![CDATA[The Ryzen 7 1800X is a gaming CPU on the more expensive end of AMD CPUs. I found this one on Newegg for around $500 after a friend recommended it to me. I was excited to try out this motherboard as I had heard it was really fast and I was not disappointed.
Image result for AMD RYZEN 7 1800X
So I have bought CPUs from AMD but I have not always had the greatest experience so I was a little nervous in that aspect. For those who don’t know a lot about AMD here’s a little info:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is an American multinational semiconductor company based in Sunnyvale, California, that develops computer processors and related technologies for business and consumer markets. AMD’s main products include microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, embedded processors and graphics processors for servers, workstations and personal computers, and embedded systems applications. (AMDWiki)
Warning: I tested this CPU using my ASUS ROG Strix X370-F motherboard so my results might be different than if tested using a different gaming motherboard.
Specifications:

  • Clock Speed: 4.0 GHz
  • Cache: L1 (768 KB), L2 (4MB), L3 (16MB)
  • Socket Type: AM4
  • # of Processors: 8
  • Passmark: 15443

So I went into this excited to finally try this CPU and I was not disappointed. The graphics did not lag and the game loaded faster than I was expecting no matter what game I was playing. One problem that I encountered was that I could not OC past 3.9 GHz. That was the limit and no matter what I did I was never able to get over that hurdle. I was reading up on the CPU and found that others had this problem as well. Even with this OC problem, I still love this CPU. The price and the incredible speed seal the deal if you can get over a few problems such as the OC. For a fairly inexpensive, higher-end gaming CPU, I would definitely recommend the Ryzen 7 1800x to anyone looking to up their gaming experience.

Review of the AMD A10-7890K CPU

<![CDATA[AMD has come out with the best of the A-series, specifically the A10 series. The A10-7890K Processor with Radeon R7 is the fastest AMD processor you could use for your PC.
The 7890K has a base clock speed of 4.1 GHz, over 256 KB of cache, with four CPU cores and eight Radeon 7 GPU cores. Some features include a wraith cooler, DirectX 12, Radeon software, and dual graphics
This CPU also includes:

  • 2133 MHz of Dual DDR3 memory speeds
  • A max turbo speed of 4.3 GHz
  • A TDP of 95 Watts

This CPU is good for most motherboards that take are compatible with the A10 series, as the A10 series is the best yet, and this is the best of the best, literally. Especially good for the Hi-Fi A70U3P, my home PC. The 7890K is the best processor I could have gotten for my PC, and it works great. According to Computer Shopper, it outranks the Intel Core i3 and i5 with games like Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider, just because of the amazing graphics and great DirectX 12 quality. Tom’s Hardware said the same about Counter Strike: Global Defense!

Intel i5-6500 – This is a review.

<![CDATA[19-117-563-01
The CPU is the mind of the computer and is a necessity of a functioning computer. Some might consider the CPU the most important part of a PC as it is needed to do most of the thinking of all components of the computer. I have looked over a CPU of the i5 that can go into a Intel grade ASUS motherboard for gaming.
Intel is a Processor manufacturer company and is widely known, as they are mostly LGA based CPU products today. Thy have provided us with the i5-6500 Intel core processor.
the socket type of the CPU is to be a 1151, and is a available as a LGA CPU due to it being a Intel grade processor. The bus speed of the CPU is 3.2Ghz, as of the motherboard’s ram is close to this number to remove any excessive amount of bottleneck. In which this is a fairly well off CPU and it is well close to the RAM amount of the gamer Motherboard.
The CPU is hyper threaded into 4 threads. The cache amount of L2 is 4x256KB and L3 is around 6MB. The motherboard can support DDR3 and DDR4 for a wide expansive choice in quality.
overall, the CPU meets its standards and gets to a close fit for a working gaming machine, as of it does it even better. with the CPU running at 3.2 GHz as close to what the motherboard runs at the bottleneck is smaller than average and will run smoother. the CPU can also support up to 64GB of memory, a fair amount for a well off gamer PC.
This CPU is Hyper threaded into 4 threads, this can conclude that the CPU is actually a “Dual-Core” which isn’t that big of a deal, but I can be accounted for. It also sits at a 65W Thermal cooling, so It’s not that beefy. but it can still provide much of what you need.
Intel has once again priced it over with a 209.99 fee at the moment and if you have the cash, I’d say this would be a better choice, but it also remains that there are also other CPU processors out there for a cheaper price that could have similar out comes, but this is a gamer PC, and if the money is on the table. I would take this CPU.

AMD FX-8350 Review

<![CDATA[AMD has been the one and only rival to the "superior" CPU company, Intel, and has stayed close in the race since creation. They have always been right next to Intel with the speed of processors, and in my personal opinion, they won the pricing with their products.
Out of all the processors that I've tested, this processor is one of the best for the value. This CPU will give you the best bang for your buck and give you the best experience if you are looking for a cheaper, and faster CPU.

This CPU is an AM3+ socket with a CPU speed of 4GHz with a speed of 4.2GHz with turbo. It has 8 cores, technically 4 cores, with 8 hyper threaded, but I digress, with 4 x 2 MB of L2 Cache and 8 MB of L3 Cache. this processor will give you the best power that you need, without taking a huge hole out of your pocket. The price of this particular CPU is $179.99 and is a very reliable CPU for this price.
Personally, this is one of my favorite processors, just for the simple fact that it can keep up with the higher end products and other CPU’s, while having a very reasonable price for the capability this CPU carries.

Intel® Core™ i7-6700K Processor Review!

<![CDATA[Picture2
Gaming CPU
In 1968 by Gordon E. Moore founded Intel. Originally Intel was the only CPU manufacturer, but has grown some competition. Despite the competition Intel remains the leading CPU manufacturer The headquarters for Intel is located in, Santa Clara, California.
This CPU will fit a LGA 1152 6th generation socket. It is a great gaming PC CPU. Even though this is a high-end CPU you can also place it in any PC with an Intel LGA1151 socket. It would be great for gaming, but if you just want to add a high powered CPU to your PC, you can. I would not recommend it though, unless you plan on upgrading all parts to match the level of the CPU. Below are some specifications on the CPU.
Cores: 4
Threads: 8
Base Speed: 4.00Ghz
Turbo Speed: 4.20Ghz
Power Used: 91w
Socket: LGA1151
Cache: L2- 4x 256KB, L3 8MB
This CPU would be great for a gamin PC. Although it is a bit pricey on the Intel website for, $339.00 – $350.00. You will be satisfied with it if you decide to purchase it, but if you are looking for something different I am confident that you can find it on Intel’s webpage.

AMD FX-9590 Review

<![CDATA[

Image result for AMD FX-9590AMD FX-9590 Review

My first impressions of the CPU is that its packaging is pretty low quality for what you’re buying. This processor is supposed to be one of AMD’s best processors, yet it comes in a flimsy cardboard box with little to no protection for the processor.

This CPU has an AM3+ socket and it has four cores with eight threads. As for caches, there are four 2MB L2 caches and 8MB L3 cache. It has a very fast speed of 5.0 Ghz in Turbo Speed (4.7GHz at regular clockspeed) with 220w TDP. With a passmark rating of 10270 (at the time of writing this), we can tell that this is a good CPU.

This CPU runs for $199.99 on sale at Newegg, where it would usually run for $239.99 without the sale. Overall, I believe the motherboard is a great value for the performance it puts out. The packaging put me off at the beginning, but the performance of this CPU definitely balanced it out in favor of the processor.
