ASUS TUF B450-PLUS Motherboard Review

This gaming mother board is a good quality motherboard for your average gamer needs. It is not made specifically for any home or business setting. This is optimal for the average consumer and doesn’t have to be purchased by professional gamers.

MSI B85-G41 PC Mate

This review is on the MSI B85- G41 PC Mate. The MSI B85-G41 PC Mate motherboard is perfect for any at home activities including surfing the web and more. You would buy this motherboard to put in your Grandma’s PC so she can get on google. This motherboard is on the older side so if you are looking for a good gaming motherboard this motherboard is not the best option out there. This motherboard goes for about $79 on (www.newegg.com) .

Specifications:

 • Intel® B85 Express Chipset
 • DDR3 1066/1333/1600 MHz
 • 32 GB Memory
 • Duel Memory Channel
 • 2 PCI-Ex16 slots
 • 2 PCI-Ex1 slots
 • 2 PCI slots
 • 4xSATAIII
 • 2xSATAII

 • 2xUSB 3.0 PORTS
 • 4xUSB 2.0 PORTS
 • 3xAUDIO PORTS
 • 1xVGA
 • 1xHDMI
 • 1xDVI

I personally would not recommend this motherboard to anyone. After reading reviews from Amazon, Newegg ,and a few other sites it seems to have a few problems. Also this motherboard is old it supports 4th Gen Intel CPU’s for a motherboard this old to still be $79 dollars is kind of ridiculous. It also takes DDR3 RAM which is outdated and much slower than DDR4 RAM. So as I stated before I would not recommend this motherboard to anyone.

Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI CODE

<![CDATA[

The motherboard I tried out is the Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI CODE, AT first I was a little nervous that I would have to spend a little bit to much on this mother board, and all the required parts but that wasn’t the case. The mother board itself was only $349.99, Which is not a bad price for a Gaming mother board. The motherboard itself does come in fact with a great many things, like”

 • 1151 Intel socket for 9th and 8th Gen CPU’s.
 • 2133 DDR4 dual channel architecture memory of up to 64 GB ( 4 sticks of 16 GB).
 • 2 x16 PCIe slots for expansion Cards.
 • Aura Sync (colored leds that can be changed to preference).
 • 8 channel high definition Audio.
 • 2 M2 Slots and 6 sata Ports.

I tried the in my home computer and it was amazing Game play like I have never seen before ( My home computer is old, so game play was SLOW). I used just a couple sticks of Ram and used a little 8th Gen i5-8400, has 9MB of Cache and 2.8-4.0 frequency, It was like a brand new computer (technically it is a new computer).

Review of the MSI Meg X399 Creation Motherboard

<![CDATA[

Of all the gaming motherboards I’ve used over the years, this one stands out. It pushes boundaries in every department, with tons of room for expansion. In this review, we’ll go through the many reasons this is a great option for gamers.

Well, everyone knows the heart of a computer is the processor. A powerful one is required to play hardware-intensive games as well. With support for 1st and 2nd gen AMD Threadrippers, there’s no lack of power concerning the CPU.

Another important aspect for gaming, or computing in general, is memory. This motherboard has plenty of space there. There aren’t two memory slots; not four, or six; but rather, eight. That’s right; this thing packs eight DDR4 memory slots. With a max capacity of 128 gigabytes, and overclocked speeds of over 3600 mhz; there’s more than enough memory capabilites to go aroujnd.

One more hugely important thing for a gamer is expansion cards. You want to be able to add graphics cards, right? Well, rest assured; you can here. It’s got one PCIe x1 slot, and four PCIe x16 slots. Yep, you can run two dual-slot GPUs on this sucker if you wanted to.

Lastly, you’re gonna need lots of space for all those games. Have you seen some of the big games lately? They’re anywhere from fifty to a hundred gigs, for a single game! That takes up some room. There’s no reason to worry with the Meg though. The Creation has three m.2 slots. That’s absolutely unheard of. Along with the 8 SATA III ports, you can hook up hard drive after hard drive to this board; SSD after SSD. Those big games don’t seem so scary after all now do they?

Now for my experience while using it. I’ve got mine configured with a 2nd-gen threadripper CPU, 64 gigs of ram, GeForce 2080 Ti graphics, and a total of 3 TB of SSD storage. It takes everything I throw at it. I can play any game on the highest settings and hit 120 FPS or more. Boots up in about six seconds, and performs simple task with ease. Of course, I’ve got some good internals hooked up to it, but this just goes as an example.

In the market for a gaming motherboard? Well definately consider the Meg X399 Creation from MSI. Sure, $600 is a hefty wad of cash, but I consider it money well spent. I bought mine back in August when it came out, and there hasn’t been a day I’ve regretted it. With great spec capabilities, and lots of future proofing, you won’t regret it either!

Specifications List

 • Form factor: Extended ATX
 • CPU socket: AMD TR4
 • Compatible with: 1st and 2nd generation AMD Threadripper CPUs
 • Memory: 8 DDR4 slots with overclocking speeds of over 3600 mhz. Maximum RAM is 128 gigabytes.
 • Storage: 8 SATA IIIs, 3 M.2s
 • Expansion: 4 PCIe x16s, 1 PCie x1
 • Integrated components: 7.1 channel audio and LAN with AC wifi and bluetooth 5.0.

Ports on the rear (from left to right)

 • 9x USB 3 A ports
 • 2x RJ45 ports
 • 1x USB 3 C port
 • 1x optical S/PDIF port
 • 5x audio ports

Others’ Opinions

“The MSI MEG X399 Creation is clearly designed to please more than just content creators and professional users, especially given the tools and features included. The sixteen-phase power delivery and dual 8-pin 12 V CPU power inputs are something extreme overclockers and hardcore enthusiasts will be interested in, and the eight SATA ports in addition to the three M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 slots built-in are something workstation users and video renderers will be keen to take advantage of.” -Gavin Bonshor, anandtech

“Ultra- premium X399 is all about finding ways of making your board a bit different from the rest. Massive M.2 support, over-the-top power delivery and a restrained look mark out the MEG X399 Creation.” -Tarinder Sandhu, hexus

“KitGuru says: MEG X399 Creation is the most impressive motherboard we have ever seen. Nuff said.” Leo Waldock, kitguru

With a MSRP of $239.99, this motherboard averages around 4 eggs on Newegg. just look at these reviews:

Pros: Amazing VRNs
Amazing VRN cooling ( not even necessary with such high efficiency VRN)
Onboard Wifi is nice and effective
Cons: BIOS layout is definitely subpar
Other Thoughts: Huge upgrade from Asrock AB350 pro

Timothy L.

Pros: After reading all the reviews here it was difficult to decide to get this board or not as half the people here where having problems with this board supposedly…………
But because it was the best looking board in its class with some really interesting features I took a risk.
I installed it in a corsair air 540 case. The board looks great with lighting all around and in the middle with the memory and PCI lanes lite up. it is very fast from boot to desktop, I’m very happy with it and glad I made the decision to get it compared to what’s out there. Also unlike some of my other boards the two M.2 slots do not interfere with closing down certain SATA ports which was convenient
Cons: NA

Joseph C.

This motherboard is a great gaming motherboard given the price point and the versatile overclocking potential. Like all Gigabyte motherboards, Gigabyte has a 4 year warranty if something breaks. I would recommend this motherboard to anybody needing a great gaming motherboard

ASRock Z370 Gaming K6 Motherboard Review

<![CDATA[
ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6 Motherboard

When it comes to performance from a gaming motherboard, the Z370 Gaming K6 Motherboard from ASRock is the way to go. This motherboard has a lot of room when it comes to choosing memory speed and storage. It also comes with these specifications.

 • Supports 8th Generation Intel Core Processors (Socket 1151)
 • Digital PWM, 12 Power Phase
 • Supports DDR4 4333+(OC)
 • 3 PCIe 3.0 x16, 3 PCIe 3.0 x2, 1 M.2 (Key E)
 • Nvidia Quad SLI, AMD 3-Way CrossFireX
 • Graphics Outputs: HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub (VGA)
 • 7.1 CH HD Audio (Realtek ALC1220 Audio Codec)
 • Supports Purity Sound 4 and Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 3
 • 8 SATA3, 2 Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA3)
 • 2 USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gb/s (1 Type-A and 1 Type-C), 9 USB 3.1 Gen1 (1 Front Type-C, 4 Front Type-A, 3 Rear, 1 Fatal1ty Mouse Port)
 • Dual Intel Gigabit LAN
 • ASRock RGB LED
 • Intel Optane Memory Ready

This motherboard is very solid when it comes to overclocking and it is easy to set up. Since my voice is not enough support, take a look at all of these reviews (via Amazon).

“One of the best Z370 MoBos available for overclocking (12 phase V-regs, what more can you ask for?) Tons of features, easy to set up BIOS, good stock cooling/heat sinks, nice to look at, just a great motherboard.”

~Jarred V.

“I upgraded from a Asus Gene V. Paired this with an 8700k. Overclocked to 4.8 with a Noctua heat sinks. Voltages running about 1.3. The 12 phase VRM is a nice feature. I could probably get to 5 with an AIO water cooler. Only complaint is that it doesn’t offer as much flexibility as the Asus board in offset mode.”

~John H.

It also comes with all the necessities straight out of the box.

What’s included with the motherboard

Even though the Z370 Socket 1151 does not support previous generation Intels, I highly recommend this because of its overclocking potential, memory support when overclocked, and overall storage.

Check out these reviews from Eteknixs and Hardware Secrets for more information about the Gaming K6 from ASRock.

BIOSTAR X370GT5 Motherboard Review

<![CDATA[This is a review on the BIOSTAR X370GT5-NF motherboard. The BIOSTAR X370GT5 is a high-end gaming motherboard available at newegg for $59.99. I believe this is a great gaming motherboard option as well as business option. This motherboard is made by BIOStar, which is a very well respected motherboard manufacturing company. BIOStar was rewarded top 20 Global Brand as of 2008, and has an estimated brand value of $46 million (Wikipedia).
The BIOSTAR X370GT5-NF motherboard is apart of the second generation racing series. This motherboard is built with excellent components and many advanced features for optimal performance.

Specifications:

 • Chipset- AMD X370
 • DDR4 3200(OC)/ 2933(OC)/ 2667/ 2400/ 2133/ 1866
 • * DDR4 2667 for AMD Ryzen CPU
 • 64 GB memory
 • Dual Channel
 • 1 x PCI-E x16 3.0 Slot (x16 for Ryzen CPU only, NPU/APU run at x8 speed)
 • 1 x PCI-E x16 2.0 Slot (x4) (share bandwidth w/ PCI-E x1 slot, when PCI-E x1 is occupied, PCI-E x16 (x4) will run at x1 speed)
 • 2 x PCI-E 2.0 x1 Slots
 • 2 x PCI Slots
 • 6 x SATA 6Gb/s
 • 8 channels of audio

I highly recommend this motherboard for multiple reasons. One of the biggest reasons is the price. Not very often will you find a high-end gaming motherboard for a price of only $59.99. It has plenty of memory available with 64GB of memory. This motherboard also has very good speed ranges for a gaming PC as it ranges from 3200 (OC) to 2933 (OC). If you are an interested gamer or even just a normal business owner, I highly suggest getting this motherboard. At such a low price the BIOSTAR X370GT5-NF is second to none and is probably one of the best deals available on the market right now.
