This review is for both the Western Digital WD Green WD40EZRX and the Western Digital Western Digital Black² WD1001X06XDTL. These Hard drives would best be used for business or gaming use. Game users would be perfectly content with how these hard drives perform.

Western Digital Corporation is one of the largest computer hard disk drive manufacturers in the world. Western Digital was founded in April, 1970 and its headquarters are in Irvine, California. They employ over 96,000 people and their annual revenue in 2013 was around US$ 15.40 billion. In 2003, Western Digital created the first SATA drive that ran at 10,000 rpm (Western Digital).

The Hard drives we are reviewing are to be used with the GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 motherboard, which i have previously reviewed. I would recommend it being used predominately for gaming and professional use. This motherboard supports hard drives that have:

6 SATA 6Gb/s connectors supporting up to 6 SATA 6Gb/s devices

The WD Green WD40EZRX is a traditional internal hard drive that is manufactured by Western Digital. This Hard drive offers stunning capacity with 4TB of storage capacity. This drive also offers a great 64MB of cache. Users on Newegg described it as being “quiet” and having “silent operation”. This hard drive can be found on newegg for a price of $139^.99. On Newegg users of the drive described it as being “Quiet” and “Painless to install.” This drive offers outstanding speeds with amazing storage. This Hard drive can be used to its full potential only on a gamer or professional PC. This hard drive can be found on Newegg at a price of $139^.99. Here are some specs for this Hard drive:

I would recommend both of these drives, as they are relatively affordable and fast. They should accomplish most any task a gamer or professional user would need them to as they are quality drives.

This is a great Intel Motherboard created by Gigabyte. This Motherboard can function sufficiently as a mid-ranged to high-ranged gaming motherboard. Gigabyte Technology is an international manufacturer and distributor of computer hardware products. Gigabyte is one of the the highest ranked motherboard vendors along with other products. Gigabyte was Established in 1986, and since then has been working with “core values of innovation and inspiration to become one of the world wide leaders in computer technology,” (Gigabyte).
The Motherboard I will be reviewing today is the GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 7. It has an LGA of 1150, which means it will only be occupied by a CPU that fits this type of socket. This Motherboard has 4 banks of DDR3 memory that can support up to 32Gb. With this much memory space there is plenty of room to upgrade. This motherboard also holds 2 PCI Express x16 slots, which can both hold video cards. You can find more specifications here. I also have listed some major ones below.

AMD was founded by Jerry Sanders who set the standard and mindset that “customers should come first, at every stage of a company’s activities.” AMD continues to work by this standard has become a thriving computing company.

The CPU I will be reviewing today is the FD832EWMHKBOX or the AMD FX-8320E Gamer CPU. This processor has an AM3+ socket along with 8-cores. An 8-core processor is typically faster than a smaller core processor, for instance a 6-core.
