Intel Celeron G1620 CPU Review

<![CDATA[If you need a processor for a home or business computer this could be the CPU for you! Personally I believe that Celeron processors get a lot of flak which they don't deserve. Keep in mind this should not be used for gaming, however it is great for all sorts of business uses. This processor is made by the reliable company Intel. Intel is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Intel is the world’s largest and highest valued semiconductor chip maker. It is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most personal computers. (Wikipedia)

When looking at the specs I know you will agree it’s perfect for any work assignments or home recreational uses that you might need done:

 • Clock speed: 2.7 GHz
 • Bus speed: 5 GT/s DMI

Cache:

 • L1: 2 x 32 KB instruction caches
 • L2: 2 x 256 KB
 • L3: Shared 2 MB
Cache is a very important part of the entire PC. Without any cache your home computer is significantly slower! Think of it like this: Somebody ask you a question, and you can give the answer right off the top of your head. Now they ask you a question but this time you have to look through a notebook. That is a lot slower then just using your brain. That is the difference between CPU cache and RAM memory. Cache is immediate to the CPU allowing it to finish task faster.
The CPU socket type is: Socket 1155 / H2 / LGA1155, and the CPU is dual core. (Intel)
As you can see this CPU isn’t the greatest to try and play your video games, but if all you are doing is checking email and using word this is the CPU for you! Honestly this is the best bang for your buck on those home and business systems. The price tag is a huge plus coming in at only $58.99. This is the same price as a new video game. It also has the 5 egg rating to back up the reasons for buying!
