Gigabyte TRX50 AI TOP

The TRX50 AI TOP motherboard is a gaming motherboard made by GIGABYTE. This motherboard is $1,899.00 on Newegg as of December 9th, 2025. I believe this would be a great gaming motherboard to use for all your gaming needs. However, it is WAY too expensive. With just the motherboard being $1,899, that’s a lot of money on its own. Then you have to add in the fact that you need additional parts for it too, like a CPU. Because the socket is sTR5, the CPU you would need for it would be about the same price as the motherboard, if not more. It would be way too much to get the motherboard and everything it needs. So it is a good motherboard for a gaming PC; however, it just costs way too much to run and to have in general.

The CPU socket used for the TRX50, like I said, is sTR5, which supports the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000/7000 WX-series processors and the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000/7000-series processors. This motherboard also has 8—yes, 8!—memory slots. In total, you can get a maximum of 2 TB of memory, which means a single slot can take a maximum of 256 GB.

This motherboard has 3 M.2 connectors, which is very nice and very useful, and it also has 4 SATA ports. I am really glad that this motherboard has a Q-Flash Plus button on the back panel, because that means if my $1,899 motherboard has something wrong, I can press that button and figure out what is wrong with it in the BIOS. I also really like that this motherboard has 4 PCIe slots. I can put whatever I want in these slots, and there is a decent amount of room between them. I would recommend this motherboard for gaming only if you have the money. If you don’t have the money for this motherboard (which I assume most people don’t), then I’d say it’s not really worth it.
