G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM

<![CDATA[*This is apart of a classroom experiment.
This Ripjaws X Series 2 X 4GB Model is an excellent addition to your business computer. This ram is made by G.SKILL which is a very well known company for their memory they produce. It is fast for the fairly low price. No I would not recommend putting this into a gaming PC of yours however it works great for an everyday PC.

Here are the specs for the memory in which we are reviewing:
  • Capacity of this motherboard is 8GB (2 x 4GB)The memory sticks are 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM. The memory is DDR3 2133 megahertz (PC3 17000). CAS Latency is low at 9. The following is the timing as well, 9-11-10-28 It requires 1.65 volts of power to run smoothly. The memory is non-ECC as well as non-parity. The memory is dual channel maximum. The memory is always very appealing to the eye with its blue color. It only comes with the stylish heat spreader to upgrade the performance.

  • One of the most impressive things for this memory is how fast it is for the price. The access time for this memory is 4.2914 nanoseconds. That is a very fast access time for the memory only costing $77.99. Another bonus for this memory is that it has a heat spreader which helps keep the memory cool which will help the memory preform at its highest capability.

  • The memory works very well for your everyday business PC. It is DDR3 so make sure that it is suitable for your motherboard. One suitable motherboard for this memory is this ECS AMD Motherboard Supported A55F2P-M2(V1.0). I recommend this memory and worked very well for me.

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX Review

<![CDATA[Corsair has been a memory manufacture since 1994 and has produced some of the top line peripherals for computers. The company’s headquarters is located in Fremont, California and has a recorder number of around 800 employees in 2012. I will be reviewing one of their products: The Vengeance LPX RAM.

This is a fast RAM designed for the GIGABYTE GA-AB350-GAMING 3 motherboard and similar motherboards. The specifications of this motherboard requires 4×288pin DDR4 2667* / 2400 / 2133. The memory we are reviewing has a speed of 2667* since it’s the maximum speed this motherboard can handle. I found the memory when scrolling through TomsHardware and seen its overclocking capabilities and lower cost.

Specifications:

  • Generation: DDR4
  • Storage: (2x8GB)
  • Speed: 2666MH/z
  • 288 PIN SDRAM
  • CAS Latency: 16 (72ns)
  • Timing: 16-18-18-35
  • Voltage: 1.5 V
  • Non-ECC
  • Bandwidth: 14,888 MB/s (Passmark)
  • Supports Dual Channel

The Corsair Vengeance LPX did exactly what it was advertised to. Its overclocking capability was amazing for its low price and its native speed meets the minimum requirements for gaming. The Vengeance LPX 2666 outdid its 3000 MH/z competition which is surprising for its low price of $189.99 for 2×8 GB Sticks. The Vengeance LPX performed amazing in most games like Battlefield 1 and had a higher rating than its competitive counterparts which could be due to its lower timing and CAS Latency.

“Our Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 16GB quad-channel kit provides better overclocking at a lower-price than its “value-priced” DDR4-3000 competition.”-TomsHardware
“the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHz kit of RAM is a solid offering into the new world of DDR4.”-play3r

<![CDATA[Kingston Technology It is the largest independent producer of DRAM memory modules, currently owning 64% of the third-party worldwide DRAM module market share. (Wikipedia)
I was looking for the FASTEST* RAM I could find for the MSI B350 PC MATE. I had done some extensive research on good, reliable, and fast RAM. Through this research I came acrossed the HyperX Fury RAM by Kingston Technoloy

Some specifications of this RAM is:

  • Amount of RAM: 8GB (2×4)
  • Speed in MHz: 2400
  • Generation: DDR4
  • Parity/ECC: No
  • CAS Lantency: 15
  • Access Time: 6.25ns

After using the RAM for an extensive amount of time, I am able to say that I am impressed. For the low price of $101.99, I can say that this RAM is at the higher end of the spectrum when it come to looking for high end RAM for a lower price. With the high speeds that it can handle, and the low price, I can safely give Kingston’s DDR4 HyperX Fury RAM a 8.5/10.

GeIL Memory

<![CDATA[
This is a review of GeIL EVO POTENZA memory that is compatible with any motherboard that takes DDR4 2400 memory. This model is designed for desktop memory. This memory can be used for a faster gamer PC without overclocking the motherboard. This model is up to date, and the memory can be used for business purposes. While you could use this for lower end use like for home use, it is not the purpose that it is being reviewed for.
The GeIL EVO POTENZA RAM (random access memory) is manufactured by GeIL. GeIL stands for Golden Emperor International Ltd. GeIL is a manufacturer of computer hardware components and one of their focuses is on the development of RAM (random access memory). They are headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. Jeff Hsieh founded the company in 1993. Since being founded they have focused on memory design and their memory technology. (GeIL Wikipedia)

Specifications:

Kingston Memory Review: KVR26N19S8/8

<![CDATA[Kingston Technology is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products (Kingston Technology). Kingston manufactures flash memory products and other computer-related memory products. In 2015, Kingston generated revenues of over $7.0 billion USD (Kingston Technology).

I was looking for a Kingston memory module to fit into my MSI Z370 SLI PLUS gaming motherboard. I went to the Kingston Technology website and their website recommend several of the ValueRAM options in 16GB and 8GB memory stick. I chose the 8GB KVR26N19S8/8 as a consideration for my memory.
I then did research on the KVR26N19S8/8 to figure out if it would be worth spending my money on. A read a rating from Overclock, initially being interested in it’s cost efficiency but it’s ability to overclock for it’s rated clock speed. I ending up purchasing the KVR26N19S8/8 for it’s cost efficiency and it’s basic gaming capabilities.

Specifications of a KVR26N19S8/8 Memory Stick:

  • Amount of RAM: 1 x 8GB
  • Generation of RAM: DDR4
  • Access Time: 7.1267 nanoseconds
  • Bandwidth: 21,328 MB/S
  • Non-Parity
  • ECC/EDO/FPM: No
  • Channels: not specified
  • CAS Latency: 19
  • Warrantee: lifetime warranty

Overall I wasn’t impressed with this cost efficient memory module. The KVR26N19S8/8 has a high CAS Latency that I do not recommend for gaming purposes. If you spent more money, you could buy Kingston’s HyperX Predator series. Kingston’s Predator series is much more impressive with a higher ability to overclock and a more efficient gaming memory module.

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX Review

<![CDATA[Corsair has more than 20 years of PC performance and innovation. Corsair provides many different computer hardware options. Things like gaming keyboards, mice, headsets, mouse mats, and memory. That is what this review is about.
The Corsair Vengeance LPX is some great memory for a computer. Corsair produces great sticks of RAM for a very decent price. Actually, that is the one thing bad about Corsair memory. They have some high prices for their sticks RAM. Even though they have some high prices, it is worth it for how good their memory is.
This memory that I have is the Corsair Vengeance LXP 32GB. This type of memory from Corsair is is two sticks of RAM. Each stick is 16GB which makes a total of 32GB. More specifications are bellow.
Specifications:

  • 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM
  • Speed:
    • DDR4 2400
    • 32 GB (2 x 16GB)
  • CAS Latency:
    • 14
  • Bandwidth:
    • 19200
  • ECC vs non-ECC:
    • Non-ECC
  • Access Time:
    • 2.4 Ns

After going through these specifications on this memory, I highly recomend getting some sort of Corsair memory if you plan on building Y=your own PC. If you are not willing to spend a whole lot of money on your memory, then the Corsair memory is not for you.

I am going to be reviewing the Patriot Viper Elite 4Gb memory stick. I used this memory on my home motherboard which was the ASUS Prime B2-50 Plus Motherboard.
I think that the memory was overall a good fit for the motherboard. The Viper Elite series provides the best performance and stability for the most demanding computer environments. The colors of the heat sinks can be red, blue, or grey. Patriot’s Viper Elite series is offered in dual channel kits and quad channel kits, at speeds from 2400MHz up to 3200MHz (Patriot Memory).

Specifications:

    • CAS Latency: 16
    • Type: 288-pin DDR4 SDRAM
    • Access Time: 6.6 Nano Seconds
    • Channels: Dual Channel
    • Bandwidth: 19,200
    • Parity v. non-parity: Non- Parity
    • Non Ecc v. ECC: Non ECC
    • Warranty- lifetime

Overall, I think that the Patriot Viper Elite 4Gb memory stick was a great fit for my motherboard. Not only does the memory have a lot of great features, but it only cost $52.99 which makes it a very affordable option (Newegg). I would recommend the Patriot Viper Elite 4Gb memory stick to anyone who was looking for a cheap option for a home motherboard.

Vengeance DDR3 4GB

The Vengeance 4GB is a decent Ram to get for your standard computer, but you probably wouldn’t put it into a gaming PC. This RAM is good for what generation it is from but you probably what to get DDR4 RAM if your motherboard can take it instead of DDR3.

This RAM is of dual channel which is better for gaming if you are gaming with this RAM. I been using this RAM and it hasn’t affected my game play that i have like scatters or tearing in my gaming.
The price of this RAM is $74.99 it can be found on New-egg and Amazon.

Overall this is decent RAM worth it’s price but isn’t DDR4 which would be better for gaming improving your FPS. I would recommend this RAM if your compputer can only take DDR3, but if your able to get DDR4 RAM if would be a lot better to find RAM and Probably cheaper.
Here are the Tech Spec for Vengeance 4GB:

  • Warranty: Limited Lifetime
  • Memory Configuration: Dual Channel
  • Memory Series: Vengeance
  • Memory Type: DDR3
  • Package Memory Format: DIMM
  • Package Memory Pin: 240
  • Memory Size: 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB)
  • SPD Latency: 9-9-9-24

The Colorful Review of the Trident Z RGB

<![CDATA[G.SKILL was established in 1989 by enthusiasts they are a leading memory module Manufacturer based in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2003, the company was established as a maker of computer memory. The company currently operates several distributors and resellers in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. G.Skill have built their brand around fast RAM, preferred by the overclockers with an impressive specifications list and some of the best design schemes on the market.
You could get RGB lighting on multiple different types of memory and manufacturers. But you have to choose between two factors; looks, or performance. Usually you have to sacrifice one for the other, but not in this case. The Trident Z has exceptional statistics for the price. Usually everyone thinks that complicated and customizable lighting on RAM could cause performance issues due to signal interference. But manufactures like GEIL got around this issue by adding a separate power cable. But the even more amazing thing is that the Trident Z RGB didn’t require any external power and the performance was essentially identical to the non-RGB Trident Z series!

The Trident Z (RGB) has a CAS Latency of 15 with a Access Time of 6.25 ns. That isn’t bad at all. The new Trident Z’s are some of the fastest clocked memory kits which can go as high as 4266 MHz. The kit we received is optimized at a clock speed of 2400 MHz (PC4-19200). The memory kit is fully compatible with the Intel XMP 2.0 and can be easily set to its rated clock speeds through the BIOS shipped on the latest Intel motherboards. Memory compatibility id different on every motherboard, so make sure that your board is high-end and rated to support high clock speed memory sticks. The specs for our kit is shown;

  • Amount of Ram: 64GB (16GBx4)
  • Generation: DDR4
  • Speed: 2400 Mhz (PC4 19200)
  • Access Time: 6.25 ns
  • CAS Latency: 15 (15-15-15-35)
  • Channels: Dual
  • Error Checking: Non-ECC

Overall with testing the Trident Z can compare with most of the non RGB memory on the market. If you have the money, and want pretty lights then I recommend this. But if you are looking for performance, I would look at the Non RGB version.

HyperX Fury 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4 Review

HyperX Fury 4GB Ram

Image result for HyperX Ram 4 gbs
Example of the RAM being used

HyperX is a very big industry when it comes to gaming. They are mainly known for headsets and are a branch of Kingston, in other words, HyperX is the high-preformace product of Kingston Technology. Most of HyperX’s products are choice of top-rated gamer, tech enthusiasts, and over clockers world wide.
Recently I got my hands on a few sticks of HyperX Fury 4GB RAM . I purchased them from New Egg and they came in pretty fast. It also came with a life time warranty which is really a plus. The sticks I got run about $169.99. This is definitely very expensive, especially for a 4GB stick of RAM. One cool feature is that this RAM will auto-detect your hardware and over clock accordingly to it.
Here is a video showing off what the RAM looks like:

Specs:

  • Amount: 16GB (1 x 16GB)
  • Generation: DDR4
  • Speed: 2400MHz
  • Channels: Dual
  • CL: 15
  • Timing: 15-15-15-35
  • Access Time: 6.5 ns
  • Voltage: 1.5 V
  • ECC: No
  • Warrantee: LIFE TIME!

Overall this is a solid stick of RAM. Its fast, it has a life time warrantee, and is HyperX. The only problem is the price, is only 4GB worth $169? unless you are building a fast home PC with 2 of these, I do not see another reason to get these, there are definitely other buying choices for a lot less just as good in my opinion.
